The CRANK and CAM sensor is on the front (right side) of the engine, and they fail regularly for almost all of these engine configurations with more than 75,000 miles. Pretty easy repair, but you Will need a puller for the balancer. You can probably rent one.

Does it have a distributor or is it the distributorless electronic ign.? If it has a distributor - is the rotor turning? if yes, does it have an ign. module under the rotor - sometimes those go out. if the rotor isn't turning, perhaps the timing chain/belt is broken.
If it's the distributorless ign. (not sure why it would have a seperate coil) then all bets are off b/c that's controlled by the computer. you can check the various sensors that provide inputs to the computer like the camshaft or crank position sensor, wiring, etc.
also, may be obvious but, how about the fuse marked IGN.? you can test each fusible link (usually near the battery) by giving it a little tug. if the wire is burned out the wire will stretch a little.
Good Luck

blown fusable link. One is at the firewall and the other is at the starter, I would check both. I've seen both blow, but one's for the fuel pump and the other is for the ignition module.
