Calling cards will give you about 17 minutes for 2 KD (that's 17 minutes for about 7 dollars). I personally do not consider that cheap :)

Now most people choose to use their computer. There is a cool service called SKYPE that enables you to use VOIP (VOICE OVER IP) which means that you can dial numbers through this small program called skype through the internet and call the US for much cheaper rates. If you are into hand-held devices, SKYPE is also available for PDAs.

Check it out maybe you'll like it. It is definatley cheaper than calling cards. Works sort of like a messenger.

If you have access to high speed Internet in Kuwait, you can call computer to computer for free with Skype, as well as use voice with several of the Instant Messenger programs such as Yahoo and MSN. With Skype you can call from the Internet to a phone for a few cents per minute.

The best one right now from my experience is voipfibre. I have used voipdiscount, actionvoip, skype, but nothing provides per second billing and cheapest rates to india. Call for 30 secs and pay for only 30 secs. frikkn amazing. Go with this one
