Scarface was a real person. When the true stories on the mob run you should take a look at them. I see things like this on discovery lots. But as far as what you were showen it hard to the what is true & what's not true. Sometimes the only truth is that there was a person called Scarface after that it could be all or part made up.

the original scarface was Al Capone

Initially De Palma's Scarface was going to be a remake of the original Scarface movie detailing the rise and fall of Al Capone but instead he chose to modernise the story given the Cuban Refugee situation of the early eighties... 4 years later De Palma made The Untouchables.

The movie, not exactly. The person, yes. Scarface was Al Capone, a mobster of the 20s. The scar on his face gave him the name we would later all know him by: Scarface.

What part of it are U asking about?
The movie is based on a true story.
The actors are real people but were not there when the real story happened.
The scar on Al Paccino's(Tony Montana) face was not real(make up).
The real guy in the real story was called Al Capone
Now what else is there to know?

Umm... Never saw it, but I know that Al Capone's nickname was, indeed Scarface (along with Al Brown and Snorky). He insulted a guy's sister while he was a bartender or bouncer (I don't remember which one) and the guy pulled out a knife. Capone walked away with a 3 inch long scar on his right cheek (I think).

No, but I think Al Capone inspired that movie, as well as the 1932 original.

Not that exact person, but, living in South Florida before, during and after the Muriel boat lift, there were plenty like him here, and still here.
