Nothing sharp, no weapons or flammable substances. Most airlines allow one carry-on bag in addition to a smaller item (backpack, purse, laptop bag, etc)

Check the news...right now everything's messed up, absolutely no liquids/gels allowed. I even heard you can't bring chap stick on board! Some airports are also no longer allowing cell phones and laptops and other electronic devises - you're best bet is to call the airline or the airport(s) and find out.
