I've told my husband many ideas and opinions on different things to almost no response or reaction. Then someone else will say the same things and he's all over it and in agrees with them. Why not me?

I had the same problem in a relationship of over twelve years. Any opinion from a complete stranger was more valid than mine, even in the area of my degree programs! In fact if I said something it was automatically suspect.

I left her and found someone who respects me. Best choice I ever made.

My husband likes his own ideas best, but he is usually willing to hear my thoughts too. He knows that I am the type of person who likes to think just about everything out before I commit, so it is expected of me to have a variety of ideas when we have a discussion. However, it is a topic or subject that I know nothing about, he will ask for advice from others and that is okay with me, but still I usually tend to then, research that idea a little and put in my two cents. I think it is okay to get information from others, but is also important to value your spouse's opinions, even if you do not always agree.

You should ask your husband this question, because we could all give our two cents about why we think this is happening, but you should consult the root of the problem. let me ask you a question, If you can't talk to your husband, then why are you married to him?

Yes, because he wants to see how many people would agree with him or me. Before making a really big decision. Sometimes its good sometimes its not.

it is true you are bothered but
put your self in his shose, do you like him to aks you to change your life style becuase he think it is better.
i think you will be bothered.
people outside home you can not be rude to them if you want to gian thier friendship and spend nice time with them.
but you are living with him 25 houre "his wife" so it could be very difficult for him to feel uncomfortable in his home.
do not ask much so he accept your query.
