With the past 5 children - my nesting began months before the baby was born. But in the end, I was feeling so horrible. Baby's head in my pelvic, big as a house, soooo tired...I just wanted it to be over. I didn't nest. I already had a clean house.
And pregnant with twins - my kids make sure that they pick up after themselves, the house is kept up on a day to day basis, and I know that if I give birth at the drop of a hat, I won't need to worry about being gone for a week leaving it trashed!

My husband said since I'm always cleaning and organizing that he could never tell if I was "nesting" or not. Guess I don't know either, I believe in a clean house and providing for a baby whether or not I have the instinct.

Yes. A couple weeks before I was due with my son, i opened the hall closet and it was a mess. Suddenly, I went to town on it and got it organized. I was always cleaning and making sure everything was perfect during the last two weeks of my pregnancy. With this one though, I'm only 10 weeks, so I'm waiting for the nesting instinct to kick in.

I got it randomly throughout my pregnancy. My husband had to force me to stop cleaning because I would clean all the time. Now, after my baby, I haven't really had any more nesting instinct stuff happen.

I'm 35 wks pregnant and I'm going through it right now. I've emptied the cabinets in my kitchen to clean...lol. I did this with my other children also, I think it's just a burst of energy you get when wanting to make everything at home perfect for the baby.

I did a few weeks before my son was born. I wanted everything clean and organized especially in the nursery. My husband made fun of me because I rearranged the nursery so many times trying to get it just right.

Usually nesting happens when your body is preparing for the birth.
