My mother had her period through the first five months of pregnancy with me. No idea she was pregnant.
My aunt, never had a positive pregnancy test with either of my cousins. She had all the "symptoms" but never an over the counter test to prove she was.
Best bet, go to the doctor and get an official test done. Another thing that can be happening is a psychosymatic response to thinking you're pregnant. Delaying your period's starting date, hence making you feel and seem that you're indeed pregant..
Your mind is powerful.

If you are experiancing some kind of stress, marital, financial, work, home etc. this can make you late for your normal cycle.
Since you are stressing over it, you will continue to be late.
Brown stringy discharge is old menstral blood that wasn't properly expelled from the last cycle.
You mentioned something about hormone levels, I am assuming this means you are taking some sort of medication?
If you are, the medication can also affect your menstral cycles.
If you are on hormone medicine, you usually will notice some smells stronger than the others, and it can give you nausea.
Car sickness, have your doctor check for menears(sp?) disease, it has to do with the inner ear, it can cause nausea and carsickness etc.
Wait another 2 weeks max and re test, if it comes out negative again, call your doctor and be seen, it could be your hormones are trying to balance themselves out, or it could be a irregularity, hard to tell.
Good luck

If 2 tests came back negative, you're probably not pregnant. If you are you're very early. As long as you follow the directions, home pregnancy tests are about 99% accurate. You're only 6 days late for your period, so there's a good chance you're not pregnant. Try waiting a few more days then take another test or go to your dr. All your symptoms could mean that you're pregnant or they could mean you're about to get your period.
Good luck, I hope this works out the way you'd like it too...

Well for me 2 days after I conceived I was sick with nauseau and a real problem with fragrances, I did not have the discharge but I understand the other feelings. I could be a good sign of pregnancy. I would wait to test in about 5 days or so. Sometimes the HCG hormone takes a while to build up in your system.
Best of luck to you if you are looking to get pregnant.

It sounds like you may need to go in for a blood test. Home tests do not always work for everyone.

it could be a late period;
it could be that you got pregnant, but wasn't viable one;
it could be that you are pregnant, for some women, only blood test can tell.
So if you continue not getting your period, go see a dr and ask for blood test.
