you need a medical degree to become a neurologist, normally this invovles 4 years of undergrade study in a related field (biology, chemistry, neuro-psychology, among them), then 4 years at a medical school, a 3-4 year internship/residency program (at a hospital), then most likely a more specific residency or fellowship program that can last a year or more. for the rest, google it. i'm sure there are many sites out there to describe what a neurologist does.

Because none of us are neurologists, or professors.

Perhaps you could check a university website to see what type of programs they offer.

I would assume that you'd need to do all of the standard education for a doctor...Four years of schooling, plus the internship...On top of that, somewhere, you'd need to take the classes for neurology specialization. I have no idea how much extra time that will take.

Sorry, dude...you asked how come no one can answer, so I answered that question. Honestly, I'm not sure why you expect anyone on this site to be smart enough to know all of this. You'd be better off talking to a guidance counselor at your school or local university.

I am not sure of degrees, but there are several types of neurologists: those that study seizures, those that study what side of the brain operates what parts of the body, those that study how far your education can really go, and those that study sleeping thoughts. I have seen every type and looked up the info. on the internet for ten years. Oh, you could also consider Psychiatrist as a Neurologist. They study the brain and how it thinks too!
