Actors used to change their names all the time because the public wouldn't find a name like Julie Warjinski "nice" to the ears. The fake actress Julie would change her name to Julie Jones, or something, so it had a nice ring to it. Haven't we grown up, already?? People are still doing this today. I find it silly, and annoying, quite frankly. What do you think?

I think its fine, one other reason it's probably quite useful to go by a completely different name or a version of is privacy. Otherwise some people just don't like their last/first name so they change it, regular people go to court and get theirs changed every day.
