Orchids, spices from far away lands, tropical islands with scents of rich aroma.

far from the status quo of everyday life in a bit of a primitive and sensual and passionate way. An exotic place would be somewhere completely different from your normal life - someplace that is a sensual and passionate where you can imerse in differetn culture and music and song and dance and food without the pressures of the modern rat race. an exotic person would be someone who bucks the status quo but is a bit raw yet passionate. I use the term primitive in a good way.

Pineapples and all the other "yummy" exotic fruit like mangos or papayas... Maybe because what I see on the supermarket shelves here is "exotic" fruit juice...
I wonder how many of us besides me feel even more like going away on vacation now that you've mentioned exotic...
