With so many stories in the press alluding to Governments and Presidents misleading the electorate in their co-ordinated press releases that later reveal disparity with events on the ground, can we trust this latest UK- USA 'bomb' alert as a real situation? Or is it a device to up the anti and to ratchet up declining public support for the war?

I would guess that the intent is definately there. The government/police have to be very careful in their targetting due to previous "misdeameanours" so it has now probably become an alert as there is some genuine proof and they allowed this proof to grow and nipped it in the bud.

Just in case they never got all who were involved these actions were needed to tighten security on planes. If you managed to take charge of one of these planes, especially the larger international flights, you have a damn large weapon in your hands. Used in highy populated areas could you imagine the carnage.

Could you imagine the backlash too if the threat was ignored and it happened... especially if they were warned prior to it?

Could you also imagine the backlash if they acted too soon and had no incriminating evidence to find?

Unfortunately the powers that be find themselves in a very difficult situation. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Not a job I would like....

I wonder what changed since yesterday that prompted the action taken today. Not only the arrests but perhaps more significantly, the extensive flight cancellations and the restrictions on hand luggage. Did the anti-terrorism branch only find out about this threat in the last 24 hours or was it the culmination of intelligence gathered over a period of time - probably several weeks. If that is case, I wonder why it happened today as opposed to last week and whether this was an intelligence led decision or a political one?

This is part of the trouble, can we believe it ? In my mind some governments are setting a very very dangerous situation by trying to convince us about all manner of subjects not just terrorism. It amazes me that today's power men and women will tell you that black is white and more horrifying is that they passionately believe it. When will they come clean and tell us that whereas once they had good intentions but are threatened by the very well established people that have strangle holds over them. You never see or here these people and you can be sure they would never ever be caught out .Like successful drug dealers they never use or touch the stuff but are able to push it all around the world.

They make patriotism a call for, something enforced with the help of this ingredient said as "regulation". once you've little ones, see what occurs to them in the adventure that they don't praise the flag. Their aims are to substantiate that the preparation device outputs docile minded, obeying, income making machines, warfare hero's, killing machines, in some situations. This us of a company organism, is not merely an industrialized organism searching on its ability to spread, yet a military business virus. i don't believe of its really detrimental to all of society, yet isn't the most effectual frame of mind. the completed device is purposely aggressive, harnessing 1/2 of the duality, sticking with Darwinain philosophy, and Descrates philosophy, "maximum efficient survive," "i imagine hence i'm." no longer getting into the different area of it, so i am going to work out how manipulation is apparent there. What am I meant to do with all that? what number days in college 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? What are you really gaining knowledge of? won't be able to the recommendations learn algebra in 7 hrs? that's coming from a guy that disdains maximum of device, you could get a differing view from some one which merely loves it.

A load of people have been arrested, so I suppose that says something.
Are you talking about arguing against intent?
