More afraid than stupid this time I think. Bush and the republican party convinced a bare majority of the population that votes that the democratic party would not defend the country. the Democratic party was trying to argue a nuanced position and the Repubs were saying --"lets get the enemy" The questions of who is the enemy (no Iraqi's in on the World Trade Center Atrocity) and what is the best way to "get" him (isn't one of the things the Muslim Street p*****d off about is that Americans are all over Saudi Arabia? What are they going to think about us invading another Muslim country) got lost.
Not one American in ten can ask those questions let alone answer them.

It was the other way around. The RNC convinced him he could run.

The president doesn't run the show he is just along for the ride. All the power brokers in America are members of the RNC.

I remember the first time I went to a Redpublican fundraiser. It blew me away how many business owners and materials suppliers were there. It truly is the party of progress

Go big Red Go

It's a sad situation. Look at our public education system. People who are poorly educated are never taught to think objectively. They have a herd mentality. They are easier to control via propaganda. For example, look at how many have Con beliefs because of what a country song says.
