Do you think something is going to happen to us with these new people trying to blow up those planes over in the UK? I'm kinda scared. Do you think that they will actually get through and over to the US?

Don't let them fool you, socker chic. Read the news articles again carefully, and notice how few details they are providing. It's almost like this is an excuse to inspire fear in people with the gov't rhetoric of "unimaginable mass murder". Unspecified "terrorists" plotting (not actually doing it) to mix unspecified liquids on unspecified flights (no flight #'s provided) on unspecified dates. This is a story that has a lot of holes in it, and seems perfect for a 'make it up as we go along' type of drama. These people were not arrested in an airport. They were arrested in their homes in the suburbs of London. But notice the very organized and coordinated reaction, all the way up to a perfectly timed address by the president. This drama is not about anybody trying to blow up a plane, it's about making you feel afraid, so that the government can implement it's control freak, police state agenda.

The ever stupid moronic idiotic President Bush has been trying to tell the people all is not well, He has been trying to tell the people they are not safe. We lull ourselves in a false sense of security and this is what happens. Other people including the President of Iran is seeing the discontent of the Americans and the world about the bashing of the President of the USA and Blair. Why would anyone think that it would not happen again? Yes I do think they will make it through to the USA. They think they are doing the will of the people including the Americans and others in the rest of the world. We are becoming to conscience of the left and the right at the risk of our own lives. People need to start thinking of the important things in their lives and what is most valuable. This is just another wake up call.

This is only one of the many times terrorists have tried to blow something up since 9/11, but, except for the London and Spain bombings, they've been caught. And really, they're just all over the place, but I don't think anything will happen... this plane event probably took years to plan anyway, so it'll take years for them to get through to the US and even then they could get caught.

It's always possible, but everyone (especially UK officials) seem to be doing a good job handling security issues. Hopefully, they were successful in actually stopping the plans.
