We lose the ability to throw emotional issues on the table to distract us from dealing with more important matters. Take prayer in school. What ever stopped anyone from praying whenever they felt compelled to?

We would lose the religeos bigotry and anti-religeous bigotry that is used to divide this nation.

We would gain a level playing field for all.

I don't think we lose anything as a nation if we take God out of things. If anything, we can start to gain a respect and understanding for other people's religions and beliefs. Our constitution allows us the freedom of religion and with the amount of diversity that makes up this country, we should realize that there isn't only one god (or belief) that serves this nation. Too many of us are so caught up in what we think is right and best for ourselves that we do not consider what may be in the best interest for our fellow citizens. We are NOT a nation of ONE, we are a nation of MILLIONS.

Well first of all, the pledge would be changed, all the churches would be gone, no one would belive anything even budda and other gods. But really it's physicly possible but mentally impossible. If we did remove god form the U.S., nobody would not be thinking about it. The Pope would be thinking about it, the cardinals, just citizens. Everyone would wonder what happened. Some people would cease to see a reason to live, for a lot people, religion is everything. Our nation would lose so much without god and religions.

We lose nothing. The world and the nation would be much better off. We would gain the ability to look at the world objectively and make decisions based on the greater good.

Unless there is a surgical procedure that can remove religious beliefs on an individual level, I really don't understand the exaggeration suggested here.
