I would propose that in order to receive state or federal aid in the form of food stamps, welfare, unemployment or any other form of aid that you should be required to have a high school diploma and if you have a GED you would be entitled to aid but at a percentage say 75% of someone with a diploma. I believe this will get more kids to stay in school and will also help our nation to have less needy people, especially the ones who have been relying on the government for years.

GED is equivalent to a diploma. Yeah, it seems too easy but it is. Also, aid is not paid to adults, it's paid to kids. It goes to adults but it's intended to be the benefit of children. So, to take away aid from children because their parents are uneducated is kind of...well, wrong. Yeah, it's not a perfect system and there is much to do but taking away aid because of educational attainment is not going to work. In my state, programs require adults with children who receive it to either contribute by engaging in employment, an active search for employment (documented with hours spent at their facility), or in the pursuit of a high school diploma or GED.
