Don't even consider to do it. Most of these companies are
fly by night companies, too many ave been scams to sucker you into paying money. You might say: but they want only $20, remember if 100 people fall for the scam they just collected $2000 and they do it nationwide so their income is huge.
The government is already investigating, but the scam people take off to another city under a new name.

I run a business from home. There was a $49 investment fee, which got me training, a start up kit, and the right to have the company name (like franchising). Now, it is ligit. Before I tell you about the amounts of money possible, let me tell you why it is ligit. It is traded on the NYSE. In my state, and this is not all states, but mine, I had to be licensed. I think that is ligit enough, huh? Now the money? This compansation plan is one of the best I have evr seen. We make great money, there are always bonuses on the table, cash, trips, plus car bonuses. It is wonderful and ligit!!!

Those are scams. No job should ever ask you to pay to work for them. Don't do it. I know plenty of people myself included have gotten burned.

I wouldn't trust any job offer that wanted *me* to pay for the opportunity to work... there's just something suspect about these types of things.
