ive put in a bunch of applications and i need some advice about calling them and asking them whats going on with it

I would wait a couple of days and then just follow up with a phone call. Just tell them that you are inquiring about the position you applied for.

keep applying at other places.
sometimes the resume you've sent in didnt even get past the recruiter's desk,
imagine if you will his desk a moment.
3 openings, 345 resumes.
you have to make yours stand out somehow.
SLIGHT coloured paper and envelope. nothing dark red or dark anything.
its best to send a follow up letter, saying you hope they've received and reviewed your resume, you are free at such and such time(S) and date(S) to further discuss the opportunities they are presenting. Include a SHORT 1 or 2 liner about how YOU would be the best fit for the job.

Call them up and say :Hello my name is............how are you today? I would like to talk to Mr. or Mrs....................please. Thank you! Helloo Mrs or Mr........how are you today? My name is............and I have filled out an application with your Comany for the position of ......... I am very interested in this job and I know I would be perfect candidate for it. May I ask what the status is and may I call you back in a couple of days? Thank you and have a good day! Get the hint!!!

Don't hassle them but just cal and ask if they recieved your application and you just wanted to check to see if they had any questions concerning it. This way it shows you are interested without being a bother.
