When a sex offender is let out of prison on parole, is the person`s parole papers public informaition?
If so where can I get a copy or call to find out anything. I have tried to talk to the parole officer, with no LUCK.

Any advice on sexoffenders parole would be very helpful.

Thanks

First, be careful of previous answers. In some states, parole records are not public records.

Second, if it IS a public record, you might have to fill out a "freedom of information" request. Many government agencies require that all such requests be "official."

Do not worry about this requirement, as it simply means that you must put your request in writing, and start with the words: "This is a freedom of information request, and pursuant to federal and state Freedom of Information laws, statutes, and regulations, I hereby request ..."

You CAN be required to pay a small fee for the cost of locating and copying the documents requested.

yes they are public information. Go down town and to the clerks office for backgrounds check. by the way If this person was really serious the police suppose to inform the neighbors before he got their but still watch out.

It is public record it may take a few days for it to be but you can go to your town or county offices and be able to get it and you can also go to their website and find the information. Also since it is public record you may be able to google his/her name and get the information.
