Would people have flipped out or boycotted Pearl Harbor if it were released while we were still at war?

Many war movies were released during WWII and were well received and also played an important role in reminding the American public exactly what the war was about.

United 93 and WTC are, IMHO, long overdue.

I don't think it's soon. I think people need to be reminded again why we are at war with terror. I don't think people should have forgotten but some people are. I am always amazed when something happen, for example, when we first went into Iraq a good majority of people were not against it, but once the hear...."american soldier loses life" they all freak out and wonder why. It is war, people die.....don't change you mind and say you were always against it of say you hate the pres because he screwed up, which he did, but at the time it seemed like a good decision. and Many americans felt the same way. Sometimes people just need to be reminded about the real story and not just what they hear on the news. It is the same in Afganistan.....people say we need to leave and not finish what we went in there to do.....what did people think was going to happen. Did you think that we were going in and out in a week....and that no american would die.....Why is it that the only time this country can stand together is when something terrible happen like 9/11. People not only need to be reminded why we are at war with terror but how the country stood together for a short while after it happened and what it felt like to be a country and not a group of people arguing over politics and views. We need to realize that no matter what happens we are a country and we can stand together. We need to learn to support each other even if we don't agree.

NO, Americans seem to have a very short memory..... the ability to gloss over and make excuses for Islamo-facists' actions is unbelieveable..... the denial when the truth is before them.... amazing and pathetic.

The WTC terrorist attack and the attacks worldwide NEED to be kept in front of the forgetful public at all times, lest they forget.

How could they forget???? Too much TV? Do they think it is make believe? A fictional movie?

I think those opposed to the movie are flipped out and blind.

ISLAMO-FACISTS are still trying to attack us anyway they can, anywhere they can. The time span since 9-11-01 doesn't matter, the war started by Islamic fanatics is happening NOW.

I saw this question asked on the evening news last night. They were asking New Yorkers who had seen the movie. The majority of them said that anyone remotely involved with 9-11 needs to see this movie.

They said they could hear people sobbing in the audience and that it was very emotional but they were glad they saw the movie.

Lots of War movies were made during WW2 , reminds people why they are fighting .

We need that movie , if it's done right , to remind us of the courage and determination shown that terrible day .

There's already been many WTC movies before this one. Are you unaware of this, or is it just the fact that this one people will see?
