I have a friend I met on a forum we get on well, but he’s gay. I don’t mind he’s gay but he likes little young boys. 10-13 years old I noticed. And he’s 16.
I have no trouble with him but sometimes he says quite dodgy things to me.
I try and ignore him on msn and I’ve blocked him but on the forum he pms (private messages) to me and trys to make me talk to him over msn.
Some of my other friends on msn have had trouble with him- so they’ve either blocked or deleted him.
he says he’s not a pervert or a paedophile but I dunno who to trust anymore.
I don't want to block or delete him cause everyone seems to and I feel sorry for him.
What should I do?

I very much doubt he is really 16. Chances are that he is much, much older than that. He is praying on people like you who will feel sorry for him. Not only should you block him, but you should report him as well. If he is 16, then no harm done, but maybe he will learn a valuable lesson about pressurising people. Even at 16, liking boys that young is a little dodgy to say the least. If he is saying quite dodgy things to you, and causing you obvious discomfort, he is acting in a selfish and threatening manner. I really cannot urge you enough to not have contact with this character or believe anything he says. I am sure if you knew more about him, you would be disgusted. How would you feel if you found out he was 53 and saying quite dodgy things to you? Or what he may be doing at the other end of his computer. Please, please think about reporting him, you may be wiser than some, but what if he is 53, or something, and convinces a boy as young as 12, or younger to meet with him. It doesn't bear thinking about. You have done nothing wrong, and have not encouraged him. Please do not feel sorry for him, at best he is a peado or pervert in the making, at worst he is the worst kind of monster. Please block him, completeley, save any messages especially dodgy ones and report him, preferably to the police. Please warn other people about him where appropriate. God only knows how sick and dangerous this man may be. God Bless.

Do you know this person personally or is it just from the computer? It sounds like he has a serious problem and needs help. If you know him personally you should definately speak to an adult or the police or something. This 16year old can be molesting little boys. It is not ok for him to feel that way about a 10 year old. Trust me Im a mother. My son was molested last year by a 13 year old. My son was 6. Its the worst thing anyone can ever go through. You have to TURN HIM IN!!! Please I am begging you. Other wise he can ruin someone elses life.

16 is practically a man and he prefers 10-13 year olds....he's both a perv and a pedo. Block and delete this guy. Get rid of him asap. Is there anyway you can turn him in as well? Do you have personal information? If you know this about someone you really should let the authorities know what you know.

If I had said I liked kids that age (I'm 21, btw), I'd be shot. It's no different for someone who's 16. He's disgusting, and needs to be avoided at all costs.
Good on you for blocking him in msn. You've got more sense than some people I know.

No, hun you are right to be worried, especially as he is being a bully and showing obsessive behaviour. This would be classed as paedophilia as he likes boys that are very young, I know he is 16, but that is old enough compared with 10 year old. I wouldnt like to imagine what might happen if he is talking to boys that young over msn etc, you cant know who he is or how old he really is, and he may arrange to try to meet them, or you with really bad consequences. You need to report this boy now hunny, to keep all kids from being harmed by this person. Good Luck xxxx

If he's interested in boys from 10 - 13 then he's both a perv and a pedo. Report him for the sake of any 10 - 13 year old that may come in contact with him.

Not directly, the only thing i have ever seen that regards is people who think they are doing a good thing by raising awareness of "pervs/pedos" by posting link to news stories about the police busting pedophiles, news stories that give in almost graphic detail about what happened to the child in question. i know that these people think they are doing a public service by trying to raise awareness but they are not that is why i report people who do that.

I'm sorry but this so called friend is a pervert who is boarding on being a pedo you should drop him and report him before he has a chance to do anything .... he could already be grooming young kids on the net the sooner he is stop the better

I don't think reporting him or blocking him is the real answer. If you block him he may go off and find (and possibly abuse) young boys. I think based on your worried comments this would understandably worry you. I suggest you talk to him and advise him to seek help with someone to discuss his situation to try and resolve it. This way you don't have to worry about him getting into trouble and also traumatising and children.

At sixteen he can hardly be called a paedophile as he sounds a bit of a child himself.
Also, if he is naive he may not be aware of the affect his words are having on others.
Try explaining how you and others feel, you may help him understand better.
