They might be a little uncomfortable if you don't put them in right, slowly, or when you're relatively dry. But, if you do it right (ask an older woman) then you shouldn't feel any discomfort at all. In fact, once it's in properly, you shouldn't feel a thing. Try doing it with one leg on the side of the bathtub, or seated on the toilet. Just take it slow. Don't feel like you have to wear one to be a woman. There's nothing wrong with pads. No one ever got TSS from a pad.

No.. they shouldnt hurt if you put them in right. And make sure you read the little booklet that comes in the box because it talks about toxic shock and you need to know about that. They are soo much better than pads comfortability wise. I used to be afraid to use them when i was younger but now im so thankful i do.

They might the first time you use them, but if you put it in right it shouldn't hurt at all. Just make sure you look at the instructions that come inside the box and I'm sure you'll figure it out. Once you have it in, you shouldn't be able to feel it at all.

I hated using them but they were nice instead of feeling like I had a diaper on (a Pad). They always bothered me especially when I took them out. It's not that they hurt just uncomfortable (going in and pulling them out)

If it's your first time, it'll feel a little uncomfortable, but only for a second. You need to "do it often" and put it in right, or it WILL feel uncomfortable. In other words, it doesnt HURT.

...no, it doesn't. However, sometimes it does when I can't seem to get in the right spot. You should feel it glide inside of you and then slip into another spot. This sounds confusing but it'll be really easy once you "get the hang of it"

If you put them in the right way they dont. If you have it in wrong, you will feel uncomfortable, but it wont hurt.

Not if they are inserted properly. My cousin was terrified of them, and didn't try using one until 5 years after she started her period. Now that's all she will use! I won't use anything else either...pads are just to messy and bulky.
