Well if the dumb idiots from the 2000 election had gone with the general vote since Al Gore did get more votes from people across the nation we wouldn't have Bush as our President now, we'd probably have him.
But you have to understand that although Bush has done a lot of stuff both the public and myself think has been really dumb he's had to make decisions that would decline his approval ratings. Like most presidents probably would've taken some political action in Iraq and that would decrease a lot of President's ratings no matter who they were.
But the two things I'm pissed off about now with the President is his handling of the Israel/Hezbollah conflict and just today with the foiled terrorist plot.
In the Is/Hez case, he acts like it doesn't even exist. He's letting... oh what's his name.. the US's UN rep. run the whole show. As the nation's leader President Bush has taken the conflict like it's just graffiti on a downtown building in WDC.
And for the foiled terrorist plot he and Tony Blair knew about this threat since Sunday. Why they have just taken action today is one of the worst security moves I've seen Bush do. I mean anyone who would be President at the time of 9/11 would've realized security has become a major issue in all relative aspects. It just baffles me as to why he didn't take measures before this was released to the public to completely insure that no lives were lost on both domestic flights and flights leaving from the country.

I voted for him in the first election because I though he was the lesser of 2 evils. After reading http://www.gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=229&row=1
and other info that came out I could not vote for him in the second election no matter how much kerry waffled. I'm embarassed by all the crap he did and does. Is he a racist? I don't know. But I do think he is an embarassment to the american people.
Its really amazing how some people can just blindly follow him.

Bush was the lesser of the two evils. I liked Al Gore and voted for him when I lived in Tennessee for the Senate. Would he have made a good President? Probably not. History tells us that tree-huggers make excellent former Presidents but are less effective in office.
Kerry just waffled a lot - which made Bush the better candidate. Probably down to Kerry's speechwriters, he'd backtrack and contridict himself and he really gave the impression that what he said couldn't be trusted. Bush, on the other hand, might often say the wrong thing but you know he means it and ultimately I think that's what edged him into office.

Don't you think that at some point we all need to hike up our "woe is me" pants and think about being a ONE NATION that stands behind our leader and stop whining about whether a person is Republican or Democrat? Let's face it, NO politicians tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, but we have a man in office that is doing the best job under the circumstances. I value that he is loyal to his wife and although not the most articulate leader we have ever had, he has some amazing people on his team. Clinton spoke well, but his values were not stellar. I miss patriotism and being proud to be American. When did that go out of style?

King George Senior was a lot better ; Jr is doing a fairly good job albeit there are drags by the sharp shooter & other folks.
He talks what he means and means what he talks to his credit.
He needs to think through before decision making.
However as a King he can not affort to be a "to be/not to be" Hamlet
One will never know what if logic regarding others.

I think Bush has taken this country to a new low. He is arrogant, prejudice and an idiot. He has ruined our economy and made several good, hardworking people go bankrupt if not worse. He has given the US a bad name and I am embarrassed to call him our leader. A monkey would have done a better job.

No he is not because he has black friends as well. He is friends with Casey Hampton from the Pittsburgh Steelers! He might not be the best but honestly I think he is better than Gore or Kerry. Ask yourself this. When 9-11 happened do you think Gore or Kerry would have handled this as well? I don't. I'm not sure what to think about Bush but he is not as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

Bush is a terrible president. Have you heard him talk? The guy sounds like a 3rd grader. He has no idea how to control government spending so he doesn't bother trying. I mean, he's only used his power of veto once since taking office, once! Also, he's always imposing his religious beliefs on the country. He vetoed the bill for funding of stem cell research even though most of the country (and the world) supports it. And don't even get me started on his "war on terror" philosophy.
The guy is a moron.

I'd rather have Anna Nicole Smith be president!
Seriously - I'd love nothing better than a huge Democratic victory this fall - and then let the impeachment process commence!
