THEY ARE NOT ALL MADE OF "THE SAME STUFF". For someone to say that shows how uneducated we are about what we are putting in and on our bodies. You really need to be more specific about what your definition of "best" means. If you mean "best because of the effect that it has on your skin, I would go with Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up. It is spectacular, completely natural and actually good for your skin...you can achieve amazing coverage and it looks natural and flawless. Make sure that you always apply with a foundation brush and clean it with alcohol once a week. You can purchase this make up almost anywhere better make up is sold, but I recommend www.janeiredale.com

The best brand in make up is the one that works with your skin-doesn't make you break out or excessively dry, matches your skin perfectly, compliments you coloring and style and is in your price range. Just play around with different ones till you find the right one. One of the best ways to do that is to go to the mall to the different counters and get makeovers or tips. Just know that most of the time, the people are trained and you may have a difficult time doing your makeup the same way once you're at home. Have them just do one side and then you try to copy it on the other. I was a professional makeup artist for years, I even wen to two different schools for it and I use everything from La Mere to Wet n'Wild and everything in between.

There is not necessary a 'best' brand out there. Every skin type is different and every prodcut is different. You just got to experiment and find out what looks, feels, etc.. on you... It took me a couple of year to find out Mary Kay and MAC are my faves.

all brands are good like Loreal,Lancome,etc...but my faves are MAC and Mary-Kate and Ashley because they are more for teenagers than any other.

prescriptives, almay, and estee lauder are all good. do not waste your money on clinque- it has zero coverage ability. max factor, cover girl, and revlon are too dry and make your face look cakey.
