I've just done the same. Followed all the instructions to the letter. Failure after failure. We phoned, eventually got through - nothing like the printed instructions! First, no need to uninstall any dial-up files on your PC. Do you realise that the main PC is WIRED from the router? It's only the other/s that need the dongle connected and the CD. It took us 45mins from start to finish under BT's instruction - three days of hair pulling when we tried it reading their printed instructions. Doesn't make sense, does it ! ! ! Once you understand that principle, just follow the onscreen instructions. One thing to watch was the number under the router - we kept mistaking a 6 for a G - that didn't help!

I have a 2091 as well. Best thing to do is to uninstall all the software and drivers relating to your BT Broadband account, a bit of a pain but simple enough to do, unplug your router etc. and re-install it from the begining.
