Since I have been 'attending' yahoo answers, I am amazed at how much Racism, Bigotry, Anger, Pro-war, Anti-peace and general dischord and indifference there is between humankind, and this is just a handful of people talking (for fun, I thought) on the internet.

It brings John Lennons 'Imagine' to mind. Am I the only person who thinks John got it all right with one song?

I totally agree with you. It makes me think about a question I asked a while back about what music others found "spiritual." I mentioned that Imagine was spiritual to me, and someone e-mailed me saying that Imagine made them sick because it talked about no religion.

I don't think so... but I don't know what anyone else thinks so?

I believe John had the right idea but missed the mark on some crucial things needed to actually make his underlying ideal take place. It is a beautiful notion, a beautiful thought and a kick-a*ss song. But still and all, I think he missed the mark, just a bit. Like when he thought marrying Yoko was a GOOD idea. Must have been the Heroin?

You are so right! This world makes me so sad sometimes.
I live in a rather isolated area and the " Army" helicopters fly over on their way to practice bombing . They are so close you can see the faces of the kids on board, at times I cry they are so young! and so many of them, I know some won't come back. WHY!!

I think he had the right idea when he did the song. It's a wonderful song. The only thing is that we can keep dreaming, but it probably won't happen.

John was a dreamer with rose colored glasses, but not a realist.
