I like the series. I prefer the books over the movies. Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite book. I think the cast is great, especially the adults. The kids are getting a little old now, though. The characters are great. Unlike most books I read I'm interested in pretty much all the characters. That's quite an accomplishment for Rowling.

I love the Harry Potter series. The books are wonderful and very creative. I'm not a big fan of the movies, however. They're great to watch, but too many things are added that weren't in the books. And, the things that are from the books that are in the movies are messed up. So, I spend most of the movies pointing out mistakes. The cast is excellent, even if I'm not overly fond of the movies. The characters are wonderful and well-developed, though I don't like how some of the characters are rarely mentioned but in passing. J.K. Rowling is a great author, and very creative. The story is amazing, and once I start reading one of the books, I can't put it down until I finish it.

i personally was not a fan of the harry potter books at all for a long time, but then my uncle gave me the first book and told me to read it because he thought i'd like it, and i read it and absolutely loved it, less than three weeks after he gave me the first one i've read all the books and watched the first three movies...i like the books, the story is good and J.K. rowling is a very good story teller, which makes them all the more interesting...the movies are good too, i personally have liked the second one the best so far, but i haven't watched the fourth one yet...i think the casts in the movies are very good, and the characters are so diverse and detailed that i love them all...especially the weasleys.

When you have fifth and sixth grade boys who won't normally read anything longer than an ad on a ceral box lining up with their friends for a book release, that's great. Thumbs-up for that alone.

Personally I love the books... and the movies. My favorite is the Order of the Phoenix.

The story reminds me a bit of the Chronicles of Narnia in that it is the classic good v. evil struggle... and the message that love overcomes all. (Well, we shall see how THAT plays out in the last installment).

The books are great and in great detail the people in the movies are ,by looks, perfect for the parts they pick. The movies miss out on way to many facts

I tried to read the first book - and I read a large number of books - but couldn't really get into the story. I do watch the movies with my daughter and do enjoy the movies.....to the point of being tempted to try to the books again....but I haven't.

the books are amazing... rowling's humor and wit and imagination is priceless... the movies are fun to watch but they're definitely not as entertaining as the books... all the characters are well picked... except wood... he's not enough of a jock in my opinion... i don't like the way they take out so much of the scenes from the books...
