Bearing in mind that, at the time, you had no idea whether he was just socially inept or mentally unhinged and possibly dangerous:
I would have ended the date before ordering the meal and I would have made it clear that he blew it by even mentioning rape, I would have done this quietly, but in a well lit, crowded, public place so he'd be less likely to make a scene or get violent about it.
I certainly wouldn't have risked being alone with him for another second by letting him take me home.
I would have made sure the person or agency that set me up with him knew what a creep he was. If he already knew or could easily find out where I lived or worked (etc,) I'd have made sure my friends, family and the local police knew about the bizarre experience, (you don't have to file charges for them to put the experience on file) just in case anything happened to me later.
