I will be visiting for the day, and would like to know if there are any cool things that should not be missed. Also, where are the best places to eat? I will have three children with me, ages 9 months, 7yrs, and 12 yrs old. So, I need a few indoor activities to keep baby cool.

The boardwalk is incredible. Check out Mariner's Landing and Morey's Pier if you are looking for stuff for your kids to do.
For food, I do not remember the name of the restaurant [found it...Olympic Flame Restaurant, 4100 Boardwalk
Wildwood, NJ 08260, (609) 522-2202] on the corner of Schellenger Avenue/Boardwalk (across from Mariner's Landing) that is a great place for standard 'merican foods. They have red booths if that helps a bit.
Avoid Mack's Pizza (bad heartburn). Ride the tramcars (we like to get on at walk to one end of the boardwalk and then ride it back easier on the little one's legs).
