Ask them why they aren't talking to you anymore.

I've been in the same situation before. I had the opportunity to speak to my co-worker when no one else was around. I just asked if there was something wrong that they wanted to talk about or if I had offended them in any way, because I noticed they had stopped speaking to me. If I had offended them in any way, I apologized and let it go. At least my side of the street was clean. I do not set out to harm or offend anyone.

As co-workers, you can't just let it go. It will eventually affect production and make others feel uncomfortable, too. And the higher ups will think both of you unprofessional if it starts to affect work. If there is someone in your office that you both like or respect, talk to them and see if they will agree to meet with you outside of work to try to clear the air and get over this. Make sure you aren't accusing or anything. YOu'll just get the other person defensive and make it worse.
Good Luck!

You should be the bigger person and find out why they have stopped talking to you out of the blue. Then see if it's something that can be worked out if not don't sweat it. Cause at least you have an idea of what the reason is so leave them alone if they don't want to be bothered.

I would approach them and simply let it go. It is obviously bothering you or you wouldn't have taken the time to ask the question. It probably adds a little stress to your day. Who needs that everday. I say swallow you pride and approach them.

You stated it was a silly reason so why dwell on it? Just let it go. You have to work with this person and spend most of your day around them. Let it go and move on.

You make sure that you make your interactions with this person strickly buisness. Then if you notice that they are starting to let it go/getting over it, then start asking them genral questions -"How are you today?" or "Did you have a good weekend?" ect. After you get back to talking again, if you just can't stand wondering what happened to make them not talk to you before, just ask them.

Kill them with kindness. Be above the childish games.
The person will eventually get over it....if it is truly over something silly.
