I recall one like space invaders..I needed to type in the letter that was on the creature to stop it. Anything that would help a small child...maybe online free? THANKS :)

Yahoo games has a game called Typer Shark. It is under the word game section of Yahoo games. It is free and easy to play.

Google for Tux Typing.
I think this one is easier for kids than Typer Shark, which soon gets too difficult.
