Yogurt with active cultures is good for preventing yeast infections. Also, you can buy over the counter supplements that should help as well. They also contain active cultures.

There are none that I know of. The only sure fire way to avoid a yeast infection is to control the moisture in your vaginal area. You can do this by wearing 100 % cotton panties and if need be to change them a couple time a day if you need to, dry panties will cut way down on yeast.

Just a thought for you... I was having regular yeast infections (or so I thought) for several years. I switched doctors and after me asking him for a prescription (this was before over the counter drugs were available) for the second time, he decided to to a smear to be sure it was yeast. Turned out I wasn't having yeast infections at all... the birth control pill I was on had too much estrogen for my system and the symptoms are quite similar to yeast infections. He changed the pill I was on to a lower dose and I haven't had a problem since.

There are no dietary solutions that I know of. Best way to prevent yeast infections is to clean the area regularly, keep it dry, and wear cotton underwear. There are over-the-counter treatments available in any pharmacy.

no dietary solutions, but do not douche, douching causes an imbalance in the acidic/alkaline balance naturally occurring in a vagina. it is this balance that keeps bacteria at bay. using too much soap or bubble bath can help yeast grow also. u can use over the counter solutions to help cure a yeast buy one containing miconazole, such as monistat, or generic equivalent. if it doesnt clear up in a week, see your doc for some diflucan or a prescription..good luck

Eating yogurt replaces your body's normal flora (bacteria). That normal bacteria eats the infectious bacteria that causes yeast infections.
