No, not at all. He had a once in a life time opportunity, that so many other people could only dream of, and he blew it. He has nobody to blame but himself. (Although I'm sure he'll be blaming everybody)

I agree with Jim.
He had a once in a lifetime chance that others dream of and he blew it.
I have no sympathy for Clarrett or Lawrence Phillips.
Hell throw Ricky Williams and Demetrius Underwood in that list as well.
Warren Sapp and Randy Moss also had "issues" coming out of college and they turned it around and avoided Gray Goose, GUNS, Bullet Proof Vests and high speed chases.

why feel sorry for him? he had the world in his hands after Ohio State won the national title. he was only a freshman, but he was considered the best new talent at running back at the time. he's your typical case of a top-notch athlete becoming arrogant, and then pissing his talent away. you make your own choices in life, and you are solely responsible for whatever happens as a result of those choices. it's a shame what he did to himself.

Did you see what the police found in his vehicle? He had guns, alcohol. And he was wearing a bulletproof vest. Unless wearing bulletproof vest is the new fad, the boy was up to no good. Put him in jail and throw the key away.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO DO? sit their like a little B****? no your gonna defend yourself, I do feel sorry for him because he is sitting in jail and has no way of knowing for sure that his baby girl is ok!

He had a golden opportunity laid at his feet, and he blew it because of bad decisions. Maybe he'll realize this once Bubba and his freinds make him their new sex toy.
