I want to buy a color that will go well with wearing a brown or black print or solid skirt.

no im thinking beige boots if you can goes great with all browns and sets off a tan too!!

You have to go with black. Black would go with a brown skirt if you wear black accessories, like a black purse, and a black shirt. The brown print will be tougher. The print would have to have black in it, otherwise it simply will not work. Sometimes you can find boots that have both colors. Like patches or some kind of design. Brown boots, on the other hand, would not go with a black skirt. So if you have to pick, choose black.

If the dress has more black than brown get black. more brown than black get brown. or you can get boots with both black and brown, I love to get my shoes from Bakers, Macy's, Shoe Warehouse and Nine West. They have all different varieties. If you get a black skirt with a brown or tan shirt then get brown or tan boots. If you go with a brown skirt go with one that has both colors so it won't matter what shirt to wear, but always remember match your shirt with your shoes, not your bottoms, because it will be tacky to wear a black shirt with brown skirt and brown shoes or vice versa. best to get black as if even wearing a tan skirt it all depends on the top and if that is tan as well you can introduce the balance of black with accessories remember no matter the fashion, total colour coding is still out

Well black i would say is your best bet, black goes well with just about everything, or even a dark brown.
