What speed(modem, cabel,T1, T3) is fastest? is there any other settings i can set my limewire thing to to make it download faster?

Setting the speed to t3 won't help
PRO is faster.
Get It For Free:
Go into limewire,
Search for Lime wire PRO,
Check to get the latest version,
And download!!!

T1 should be fast enough. Can you afford a T3?
I have a 512 kbps cable connection and find it good enough for Limewire.
Incidentally have you read the latest BBC report that Limewire is one of the 6 most dangerous sites to let in spyware, malware and viruses? Bearshare is another one.
So be careful!

If you get wirless internet, i think limewire will download fast. And the songs you will download will only take 1 min rather than with dail up it would take like 15 or 20 min.

Yea get pro and don't share. The speed depends on your internet connection. But please share, don't be a leecher. If you share files, you are using upload bandwidth, which slows down your download bandwidth. Which equals slower downloads. But if you turn off sharing, there are a few of us that don't share to peeps who don't share. Best of luck!

well, there is not a huge difference between 15 dollar dsl and 30 dollar cable internet dsl is plenty fast for buisines people and it should work fine for residential uses

You should buy PRO, it downloads near instantly. But if you don't want to...theres not really any settings you can change to make it faster. sry.

cable is better ( for me at least) but u should look at teh signal strength 2 , dat matters and um if you have he free version things will be a lil more.. a lil slower
