I'm sick of having my messenger. I want to get rid of it. Or at least my account or profile or whatever you call it. Like so me and no one else is capable of using messenger anymore. Oh and when im not even on the internet some conversation i had w/ my friend keeps popping up. How do I get it to quit. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For both Msn and Yahoo you could try this..
login into your account.. go to prefernces.. and remove the option where it asks "load at startup" That firstly will start the messenger from loading when the computer starts up..
Then if you want you can uninstall the messenger from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
That will copletely remove the messenger .

Hit CTRL ALT DELETE and that will give you a box called Windows Task Manager. Click on the 2nd tab (Processes Tab) from left and look for the process and end it. Yahoo messenger is YPager.exe. Right click on it and end process. A warning dialog will come up, just click OK.
To stop it from starting up at start up, go to Run -> type msconfig ->click Startup Tab (Last one on right) and uncheck it. It wont start up at startup anymore.
