LONDON - British authorities said Thursday they thwarted a terrorist plot to simultaneously blow up several aircraft heading to the United States using explosives smuggled in carry-on luggage. Security was raised to its highest level in Britain, and carry-on bags were banned on all flights. Huge crowds backed up at London's Heathrow airport as officials searching for explosives barred nearly every form of liquid outside of baby formula. All the flights were headed to Washington, NY and LA .... UA, AA, Continental flights
and my daughter is in LA .. due to fly home saturday! this is giong to suck having to wait to get a pass to pick her up (she's nine) and vise verse. her dad is so irresponsible he'll have her there late! i know it. !!! maybe it would be better for him to drive her home.

I know you are very worried, but take solace in the fact that they have significantly beefed up the security in the airports, and your daughter will get home safely, even if with delay.
Also, by Saturday things will sort out a bit more and they'll probably have a good idea of what's going on and how to deal with it. Today they are simply taking paranoid measures to really make sure nothing transpires.

British authorities(police and Mi5) have been working around the clock for months all day and all night,Some experts in Britain have been so tired that they have fallen asleep at the car wheel and crashed his car because he was in the police station for 48 hours without sleep and marriages have been broken because of the research. The US owe a lot to the UK because if the terrorists did get aboard they would have killed thousands of US citizens, and did you know that Heathrow airport in London is the busiest airport in the world.

Was that a question?
So far as I know they are still boarding planes. You are not allowed to have any liquids, becuase apparently they were going to use liquid explosives.
Just tell your ex to be sure she is extra early, and then she should be okay.
However, I am not sure if the airlines are going to safe for long at this rate.
God Bless,
Vic

I'm glad that these people were arrested. Now maybe those who think 9/11 was a conspiracy put on by the USA and George Bush will shut up.

Not that you asked a question, but i just came from the airport and the lines are long and the wait to get thru security was up to one hour in our little po-dunk airport, so the moron ex better get there early enough to get her on a flight or plan on rebooking her.
and you too, should get to the airport plenty early to get a pass and make it thru security early!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but all the trouble is worth it. Where do you live? Is it practical to have him just drive her? Things should have calmed down a bit by Saturday...

i think it's all made up!
Fiction is the term used to describe works of the imagination. This is in contrast to non-fiction, which makes factual claims about reality. A large part of the appeal of fiction is its ability to evoke the entire spectrum of human emotions: to distract our minds, to give us hope in times of despair, to make us laugh, or to let us experience empathy without attachment. ...

He's a man, leave it up to him. Women aren't suited to deal with things like this. You all get too hysterical.
