First, it's sad that you need to insult people just because you disagree with them. Not to mention being wrong about what they think.

I agree the deficit is bad. But it's never going to get paid. It's an illusory debt, because there's nobody out there who can enforce payment. So, raising the deficit doesn't automatically affect taxes, because the US government can just refuse to pay its obligations with impunity. Immoral, yes. But do-able.

Besides, Congress decides what the taxes are and how they are spent. So, if Congress decides to keep taxes low, and instead max out the credit card (then raise its own limit), there's nothing to stop them. Again, immoral, but perfectly within the strict letter of the law.

We know that...but most of the borrowed money was fore victims of 9/11.....hurricanes......and the war.....they are not able to be regulated....we could have canceled the bridge to no where in Alaska, for the Libs.....there was some hall of fame, think it was for an orange or something like that, in Wisconsin? well, anyway, something like that, for a Lib.....now there are pork for everyone.....give the president line item veto, and less of these things will get through......too many pork items go through because the bill is a good one......and Libs are just as bad as the Cons
