If we could get people to love us simply by beating them to a bloody pulp it sure would save a lot of killing wouldn't it?

Good question! Bombs cause the slaughter of many innocent civilians. The war in Iraq is a guerrilla war against the infidels and their supporters. Bombs and military force are not effective against guerrillas; Israel has been fighting the Palestinians guerrillas for fifty years and still fighting should prove the military is ineffective. If you need more proof look in your history books Japan never conquered the guerrillas in the Phillipines. Sounds as if Israel has stepped up its offensive in Lebonan

US has more or less an observer/involvement by exception kind of role in Iraq. Israel must look very hard at their operations as to why despite their superior weapons Hezbollah are still standing up to it. Guerrilla warfare? This was known. How else would they have fought? Time is running out. Hit them hard so that they do not raise their head again. It is never enough in war unless objectives are achieved. I do not think Hezbollah have been subdued or undermined.

I agree with you. We are fighting this war, which is, in fact, a war, in a way to be as humane as possible. If the Muslim extremists were more powerful than us they would have wiped us out a long time ago. It is time to step up efforts to destroy as much of the extremist Muslims as possible, their group, their weapons, their infrastructure, their members. This is war, and we have to wage it like a war to win, not to win world opinion. This is not to say we should have a carte blanche to do anything we want, but we ought to fight this war to win more decisively then we have thus far.
It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.
For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?
It would be to the benefit of the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the region.

People like you who think force can solve everything, are the very people who create violence else where and make it worse and worse till one day you're hit in the face by the very hammer you created!!
The only your way would work is to nuke them. I am sure you're ok with that but if it happens then you can say goodbye to the world as we know it. And not even our Bush is that stupid ;)
