No it will likely NOT end tomorrow or anytime in the foreseeable future. If this is an issue of concern, I would not do as the others and suggest that you go on with your life and forget about it, but rather I suggest that you DO something about your concerns.

First, figure out what it is that bothers you. Saying the world will end means nothing. Saying you worry that tropical and sub-tropical agriculture is going to be hurt due to global warming, or that radicalization of middle east tensions could lead to continuing religious conflicts is saying something. The next step would be to find out what can be done to help lessen the problem that you see. Do some research, talk to some organizations that seek to cause political changes, participate, GET INVOLVED! That will go a long way to help you see that you can make a positive change for the world.

Well if you are posting specifically to the Astronomy and Space section, you have nothing to worry about for now. There is a small chance of Earth being hit by an asteroid in about 30 years from now, but no *immediate* threat.

Now if you are taking a religious pov, the end-of-the-world has ALWAYS loomed as just being around the corner. And it always WILL.

If you are worried that American/Western alliences and entaglements will eventually cause global destruction thru world war then you have some justification to be afraid. Vote and support politicians who have a non-interventionist foreign policy will go a long way towards making everyone more secure (and free) .

First i would have to ask you why? If your a god fearing person then you would not be afraid because you would know that you were going to heaven. If you are a philosopher then you would probably envision being reborn into another place perhaps more beautiful than this one. If you are of a scientific mind then you could probably come up with a thousand reasons not to be afraid because you would know that it couldn't possible end right now. The only people who should fear the end are atheist because for them everything they hold dear is in their hands. I guess it all depends on the kind of person you are. Who are you?

Sorry you are so upset about this very remote possibility. What makes you think that it might? And how do you think this might happen?
The odds are astronomical against the world ending soon. In a few million years, perhaps, but certainly not tomorrow, so you can relax a bit, go eat some chocolate, and think about what you want to do next week, next year, next month.
I give you my promise the world won't end soon, and if it does, you can come back and haunt me.....

no...we got about 5.5 billion years to go before our sun becomes a red giant and engulfs all matter closer than the orbit of Mars (including the earth and the moon) speaking astronomically, that is

now, if we're speaking theologically, one can not predict the end of the world with any certainty

as for militaristically, we are still less than "15 nuclear minutes" away from armageddon, as the united states, russia and several other powers have sufficient nuclear armaments that the world could be reduced to a burned-out cinder a thousand times over

I certainly don't blame you, because it is scary to think about it. I have dreamed about it, but you know what, I was not scared. Do you know why, because I am ready. I know that God will make sure that His people will be protected. I just want to be on the right side, to go to Heaven and not the other place. So, I suggest all you Atheists out there, to try to get over your dysfunction, and believe in the Almighty. Hey, what if it was real, do you want to take that chance. I know for a fact that I myself do believe. If you see the universe, just our planet, how many times could be be taken out by an asteroid, viruses, global warming, it just goes on and on. God is protecting us, but gave us the opportunity to chose, but I have chosen, and do not need proof. I am sorry for those that cannot accept that. There is so much sin, and one can kid about it, but you do have to ask for forgiveness. It will come, no one knows when, but it will be when He decides and not anyone else.

Every year for the last couple thousand years there is a nut calling the end of the world nearby. Then a religious organization jumps in and sells pardons.

The Mayans predicted the world would end December 21st, 2012, so why wouldn't you be scared? Just think, a little more than six more years until we all die. Better do all the things you were planning on doing later.

I am not scared the world will end soon, but it will someday and then it will be too late to make any difference as to where I will spend eternity. It is foolish to think that it won't end tomorrow for we really don't know. Just be prepared to meet the God who put all this together and knows when He will end it.
