There are no Secretary's, they are called Administrative Assistant. The salary depends on experience and years of service. It also depend on the size of the Company. Usually big Companies hire unexperienced Admin.Assist., if they have a degree and might start them out with an average of $14.00 per hour. However, if someone has many years experience in that field and no degree, they can make up to $45,000.00 a year, depending on the Company. Small Companies are not able to pay that much.

I know my mother is a legal secretary not too far from you, in Indianapolis, with a large firm that has a branch in Chicago - her salary, I believe, is around $35K - but she's been at this for 20 years. I don't think you're going to get paid REAL well, but you'll make a descent living. Good luck!
