I just spent 20 minutes cleaning the mirror on my dresser, and in my bathroom with a "glass cleaning" product. After all my work, using a squeegee, and also a rag, the mirrors are still blurry, and streaky. does anyone make something out there that actually cleans the mirror???

vinegar and water in a spray bottle

commercial glass cleaners actually add chemcials that put a film on glass and mirrors making it harder to clean (thus you buy more of their product)

use household items to clean, they are cheap and work great

vinegar is your best friend, it will clean damn near anything!

What's a good mirror cleaner, that won't streak and cause haze?

I was in the Marines and every thursday night was field day. That means that we completely clean our barracks out top to bottom so that we could get a passing inspection on friday morning. Trust me, I know exactly what i'm talking about when it comes to cleaning anything from an M240E machine gun all the way down to a shower. And when it come sto mirrors... pffff.. easy.....

Windex and newspaper. Dont bother with any high speed expensive stuff, all you need to properly clean glass is windex and newspaper.

This is a great window cleaning recipe my Grandma gave me: Fill a spray bottle with a 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 teaspoon mild dishwashing liquid, and water. Spray on glass and squeegee. Resist the urge to wipe leftover droplets on the glass---they'll dry on their own without streaking. I use a squeegee intended for use on cars. It's higher quality---it works better and lasts longer.

Using a rubber blade is the only way. Use water with a little ammonia, and then use the squeegee blade, 45 seconds and you are done. No streaks, no film left. I do this even for inside my windshield. If you can't see any residue even at night with cars coming from the opposite side, you KNOW you have clean glass!!

Best Way To Clean Mirrors

I have a huge mirror (ceiling to vanity) in my bathroom and 2 boys, which is not a good combo! I use Invisible Glass Cleaner and a microfiber cloth. I find the microfiber cloths do a great job of not streaking then you can just toss them into the washer and use them over and over. Hope this helps!

I use Windex Professional Strength Cleaner & a clean microfiber towel. (You can get both at a home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes) I use microfiber towels to clean just about everything. Glass, dusting, polishing furniture, countertops & even floors. All the dirt & gunk gets trapped in the fibers, and you are left with clean surfaces everytime.

I use Windex and use newspapers to wipe clean. It sounds crazy but seriously no streak winows & mirrors!

*also make sure you don't dillute it with water that seams to cause streaks.
