Why can't girls throw?

Although there are many girls that can catch and throw, in general the reason for most females' innate lack (as opposed to the innate ability in most males) has to do with different development.
As a female develops, she has less upper body strength than a male. Also her "gross motor skills" don't develop as much as a male's. This allows her to throw where she aims well.
But her "fine motor skills" do develop better than a male's. This allows her to do delicate work like sewing.
There are exceptions to every situation, but this is what generally happens. An anyone could train to improve any skill despite what biology has provided you!

Some girls can throw quite well. For those that don't there are basically 2 reasons:

1) lack of upper body strength
2) lack of throwing practice that trains the muscles to throw well.

True story: I'm out on a dirt road throwing rocks with my 2 sons. I decided to throw a few left handed. I then commented that I throw like a girl left handed. To this my oldest son replies "Dad, you shouldn't say that. Mom throws pretty darned good...".

That may be a general perception. But haven't you seen Discus throw or Javelin throws where girls throw a large distance.Normally they are not able to throw as a large distance as boys because they don't have upper torsal strength and biceps.

You have not mentioned what exactly girls can't throw. If you ask me, girls in the camps of Maoist groups in Nepal and Assam can throw hand grenades much better than US soldiers. You capitalists always discriminate the women and girls.

It goes back to the days when we all dwelled in caves. The male had to go out and hunt so aquired the neccessary muscles in his upper and lower arm in order for him to throw rocks or spears at his prey. The female stayed put tending to offspring or keeping house so never developed any throwing skills.

well i know that girls have poor judgement of direction and distance this evolved way back from the stone age maybe it has somethin to do with that in the stone age the men went out hunting and evolved the ability to hunt and kill animals which would be the distance thing and they had to find theyre way home and this would relate to the direction the women never done this so that part of our brain is poor im not saying all women are the same but thats the theory :)

Throwing is a learned skill involving biomechanics. Girls who have been shown how and practice, can throw just fine.

Thats an easy one. Its because they are girls. Girls aren't really good at much....except having babies. If you think about it, there's really no sport that a girl is better than a guy in. Girls used to dominate gymnastics, but now the guys can jump higher, and can be just as graceful (though quite girly looking, but still).

Don't really know WHY, but like I said, girls just aren't good at stuff.....sorry girls.
