there are so many negative thinkers in todays society, why????

Actually, its simply because its easier to be negative than positive. And positive things can even lead to negative feelings. Even if someone wins the lottery (positive) they will think, I wish I won more (negative).
In fact there is even a theory of negativity.

Nihilism is a state of mind that requires you to consider the value of the truth. It has value when society is positive towards itself, and it is worthless when society is negative.
Unfortunately, it is an infectious disease. It is perhaps why there are economic cycles called depressions and booms.

if u travel u will see that the negative thinking is mostly in countries where we are supposedly civilised
society's that are still living the way they did 1000's of years ago, whether they are nomads, living in the jungles, living in the rain forests, living in the mountains, those people don't have those problems and they are happy with the very little that they have

Look around? What is there to be positive about? It takes a concerted effort to overcome all the negativity and seek positive viewpoint.

lots of people have never been taught how to think positively.. or ever thought about the effects a negative attitude can have on those around them.. i always used to be negative but it suddenly occured to me in recent years that a positive attitude can make the world seem so much better, so i retrained my way of thinking and really try to stick to that.. i did it mainly to have a better effect on my kids as well as cheering myself up.

Because people are lazy and being negative is easy to do. Being positive requires more effort.

because some people have made bad decisions in life and now they are paying from their consequences, so they have to take it out speaking negatively and thinking negatively too......

because if you think negative then when the positive comes along your pleasantly surprised. Also if you expect the worst you can't be dissapointed.
