How about me? Worse off financially and career wise than 2 or 4 years ago. Worse off all around. Expenses are higher and income is lower. Wish things were different.

I'm so much worse now, it's unbelievable. My step-dad has since lost his job at Ford (because the plant went out of business due to the bad economy), my dad had to move away to Kansas City. The economy is horrible, I think the end of the world is coming soon, and I'm freaked out of my mind about the whole national id thing (I hate the idea of it, and I'm making petitions!).

Really, I don't think that you are going to find someone who is better off. There's war going on, our country's moral is leaving, and people are scared. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I think that you are in the same boat as all the other adults in this nation. As for me, I'm only 15, still a child by some references, but I've got the mind of someone three times my age. Hopefully, thinking will help me out, but I sometimes think that "ignorance" really is bliss.

I hope our economy gets a jump start soon. By now, I don't know what could possibly help, though. Of course, a new President (and preferable a Democrat) can always help, but I've already been hasled by Bush-lovers and Gay Rights-haters, so I'll shut my mouth right now.

Hope I answered your question well enough!

I'm much better off... 2 years ago (and 4 years ago) I was in an abusive relationship and it was right about this time that I had the strength and sense to walk out and not look back. Now I'm with someone who loves, respects and treasures me and I'm extremely happy with him and myself.

better off than 2 years ago. Now, I can really focusing on my school and subjects because I and my best friends are separated in different classes. We are used to chat, talk and laugh loudly in the class so that we didn't even pay attention.

Better off how? Financially, spiritually, what?

I am better off now than either 2 or 4 yrs. ago because I feel very competent and satisfied with my full-time job; I've obtained a freelance job doing something I love; my 2 kids are growing, maturing nicely.

How about you??? Nice question!

I'm better off on both counts. Every life has ups and downs and setbacks. I've had my share. But I strive not only to overcome those negative things in my life, but to make progress in the long run. So far, I have been successful.

Yes, much better off. My overhead remains the same while my income has increased due to careful planning. I'm not a frivolous guy.

I am better off because I finally left my husband, even though it's currently a struggle. I have faith and at least I can finally be myself and give myself what I need, since he wasn't doing it!!! That was the first mistake, thinking I needed someone else to make me happy when it can't happen unless you are already happy!

Not at all. Life gets worse and worse by the year. I become more and more depressed and miserable. Yeah, it pretty much sucks.
