In addition to those outlined above, another potential risk, albeit not very common, is the failure to ovulate ever again. This has been documented in depo users over the years and is becoming a growing concern among professionals and patients alike.

Good luck, hope all turns out ok.

well I was on it for almost 5 years. So I may still be going through some side effects now.

What I've mostly noticed is that I'm loosing weight but not anything to get excited about. I've been off for about 18 months now and lost 20lbs. (equals out to one pound a month)

I never thought that I had PMS probs, like that was never an issue for me before I got on the shot but now its like a battle zone around me when its about to be that time of the month.

My sex drive has not increased or decreased its still the same.

Even though I've been off for about 18 mos my periods still aren't regular. For like the first 6 mos I got a period every 6 weeks. Now its a little more in line but not a set schedule yet.

I'm not having sex now but for a while I was freaking out thinking maybe I was preg. no so.

i'm here if ya need anything

I never stayed on the Depo-Provera shot. I was given one shot to help with a DUB (dysfunctional uterine bleeding) episode. It flipped me from low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) to diabetes.

The pamphlet that came with the shot said do not give to diabetics - but my gynecologist had no clue that hypoglycemia and diabetes have the same cause, and the shot would affect a hypoglycemic like it affects a diabetic. to all of you who have side effects, during and after taking the shot, they may be due to the effect the shot has on your insulin - a very important and necessary hormone.

The depo shot was one of the worst things I've ever done. I had my period for six months straight, it was awful. I had terrible cramping and mood swings. I would never, ever get it again.

the only side result I had replaced into my era. It replaced into atypical for some year...basically approximately no longer something for countless months, then on and rancid recognizing. Very easy era for months, then months of very heavy classes. it somewhat is finally commencing as much as come again to everyday...after approximately 2 years.
