Your doctor is more worried about damaging the fetus than your inability to control yourself... just don't put anything in "there"!

I would resist the urge than. It's no different if you have an orgasm by yourself or with hubby, either can cause you to have contractions.
I have been on pelvic rest since 22 weeks and I am now 32 weeks, pelvic rest still in place until after I deliver and will still have weeks after that to heal up.
Sounds like you are dilating a little possibly since you are not allowed baths or swimming. I am not allowed either as I am 100% effaced and 1cm dilated already.

That's too bad. I would think penetration would be off limits but not masturbation. I have heard that when you *** it could spark contractions but then again so can walking from the kitchen to the living room. I say go for it...but don't put anything inside of you. I am 8 months also and that means 36 weeks. At 37 weeks they won't stop labor if it comes... you are considered full term at that point. The risk is almost over...so get it girl!

Well first I was going to say that you can because intercourse involves a penis, but if you are not suppose to climax then pleasuring yourself may not be okay - you'd really have to check with your doctor.

If you have been put on "pelvic rest" (no sex) then YES...that means you SHOULD NOT "do it yourself" either. If you have an orgasm, that could cause contractions.
Why can't you take baths?
