If you wanna risk it, keep LJ. If not, trade him for L.T.

Larry Johnson is the riskiest player- he will either get the coveted #1 RB numbers or at well out of the top 3...

Why? First, bennett as a backup has to cause a little bit of concern for fantasy points on account of his talent. And who can forget that the O-line took a HUGE dump from Willie Roaf retiring. Another thing fantasy players are forgetting is that the starting Pro Bowl RG has retired as well. As a great coach once said, "It starts and ends in the trenches." No line, no win.

New young QB means L.T. will be the main support. The less comfortable Rivers feels, the more he'll hand the ball off to LT.
L.T. is the safest bet in the top trio of backs. Also, don't get scared away by the San Diego's backup RB... I read that the Chargers are planning to line up L.T. as a receiver whenever he doesn't play RB.

He's a great back and i wouldn't trade him just because you think he will end up a bust however you could shop his worth and if you think you could get LT or SA and maybe someone else. That would be a great deal. You can't go wrong with either of the 3 so if you could trade LJ for LT, SA, and somebody else it would be worth it. LJ is going to be fine but he's definitely not that much better than either of the other two so if you could pick up another good player and still have LT or SA left you'd be crazy not too.

I don't think you can go wrong with LJ, but I'm picking first in another league and I'm gonna take LT. SA was in a contract year last year, and he lost Hutchinson so I would pick between LT and LJ. I take LT only because I know he's played a full season. I know LJ will be a great back, but since I have the first pick I wanna go with a guy I know will score a ton.

All of those backs have concerns, it's not only LJ:

Concerns:
LJ: Lost Saunders, Vermeil, and probably Roaf.
LT: Lost Brees and with him went the respect for the Chargers passing game. People will stack many defenders in the box to contain LT. Rivers will have to prove he can pass to save LT's fantasy numbers this year. LT also is very injury-prone, especially down the stretch.
Alexander: Lost his pro-bowl left tackle, is 29 years old, is coming off of a carreer year as well as a contract year, the Seahawks lost the superbowl last year, and (I don't know if you believe in this... but I do) he's on the cover of Madden '07.

Positives:
LJ: The new head coach (Herm Edwards) is a known "run first - pass later" coach, his 1750 yrds (201 avg ypg); 20 rushing TDs; 33 receptions (343 total yrds); and 1 receiving TD are only for a partial season.
LT: N/A
Alexander: N/A

My recommendation is to stay with LJ. I had first pick in our league and I took him. I debated for days over the same thing.

If you don't want LJ, why did you draft him? If he fell to you at 3, then you will have a hard time trying to trade him because those guys passed on him for a reason.

I think you'll be ok with LJ. People are overrating the Willie Roaf retirement. C'mon...I know he's good but one guy on a five player offensive line (six if you count the TE) is not going to mean LJ runs for 900 yds and 8 TDs.

keep LJ, he wont be a bust. on any other team he would've played a long time ago. That's why he was drafted with the 27th overall pick, which was widely considered a steal. The chiefs thought Holmes career was gonna slow much earlier.

KEEP LJ he could have either a top 5 RB season or he could break lots of records. that's why he's such a good pick, his upside is huggggee.

LJ is a great choice. My biggest concern with him would be injury. I would consider LT or SA an upgrade in that concern. However, just pick up his backup and you'll be more than fine. You'll be raking in the points all season long with any of those three guys.

All three of the RB's you mention are great backs and will all be taken with the first three draft picks in 99% of all fantasy drafts this year. I personally would hold onto him. I think with Edwards as the new Chiefs coach will translate into awesome numbers for LJ.

If he has Adrian Peterson, i think of he's surely hedging his bets for the playoffs! He figures LT won't play plenty the final 3 weeks of the season yet part and Sean will as they choose the wins to get interior the dance. i might say he's making a sensible play, understanding maximum persons does no longer take the Rookie. I hate 2 for one trades different the time yet this sounds respected. i might veto it subsequently, he's working on the top game and a veto isn't out of line for a 2 for one. yet is it respected? surely!
