This type of person is normally deprived of normalcy stimuli during younger years. This will usually be from doubting you are being loved, and not having a parent to assure you.

Your child will not be alienated just because you were.
Think of some of the most talented/funny/smart people on tv or in movies.....many of their parents are really shy and even social outcasts.
It is totally up to the kid..keep up the encouragement and have him/her remember the most important rule: treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect.

you should always encourage your children to be pro active, but the key is...
Stop trying to fit in, make others fit you.
Alienation usually stems from somebody feeling like they aren't "good" enough to join another crowd. Feeling insuperior is a normal thing, EVERYBODY even those who are in the middle of things can feel alienated and alone at time.
You can't worry about the others, be who you are, they will follow. Make sure she knows she is as good as anybody else on this planet, if somebody doesn't like her, thats their problem.

no. people who feel alienated their whole life are people who are searching for exception. they need encouragement and a kick in the ***. how are you going to teach your child social behavior if you never get out and do things with other people? come ON CHILD< ITS A GREAT BIG WORLD OUT THERE, and people are dying to get to know you...take a step. it isn't not hard to make acquaintances....be social, flaunt your hearts ideas and opinions, that's why god gave you a mouth and brain

No.

It depends on what else mom does and if there is some genetic background but somebody that tries to do good will do more good than bad.
