There is this racist woman on here and she says people cannot say anything except she is ignorant and racist. Well if it fits well it does. My own aunt is from AK and then lived in TN for finishing school and the GA an FL for years. Now she is 80 something and has lived in The american southwest for 20 years. She is better and not as racist to hispanics, but still to jews and blacks. I catch her in a racist statement and call her on it. She says are you sayin Im a racist in her southern accient? I say yes. She says she is not just after she said a sterotype or not to date a black man. She is so entrenched in it she does not see it. There is some youngester on here and she is the same way. They are so racist they do not know they are. Why am I not like her? I grew up in the American Southwest and My mother is from the Eastcoast of America and my father was educated so if he had any racist thoughts he did not mention them because they are ugly and un attrative.

Reasons for racism? How about putting reasons that people are racist for the answers to this question. If you put a hostile one you can be the definition of a hostile racist, but if you have an opinion just write it respectfully.

Here is one thing I think that causes racism. There is a stereotype that exists and a person sees one person that exhibits it and then it locks into their brain as real

Another one might be that someone believes the stereotype because they have not ever met a person of that background.

I feel that racism has a few different roots. One is stupidity; assuming that all people of a certain color are alike is just plain dumb considering that people can be so unique. Another reason for racism is to compensate for a lack of self esteem. Some people make their selves feel better by putting down someone else. Especially if they can put down a whole group then they can convince their selves that they're some how above that group. Another reason is when people were taught to be racists before they were old enough to know any better.

Racism is a form of hatred. Hatred takes on many disquises but its goal is the same. The fires of hell for those who embrace it.

What is a racist comment? Is it:

Blacks are lazy.

OR

Many people from the inter-city cultures are lazy and ignorant and they think that it's cool.

Make sure she's getting her thoughts across clearly.
