how long does weed stay in ur system?

i used to smoke weed alot and stopped over a year ago.. however on july 29th i took about 5 hits.. NOW-- i have a drug test for a job sometime in the next week!! Ho wlong will it stay in my system, and what can i do??!!

All of these peoples answers are retarted...I spent 1 1/2 years in a Drug Court program where I got tested ever day for drugs and alcohol. If you havent smoked in a year then depending on your body weight is what really determines how quickly the THC will pass through your system. THC is stored ion your fat cells, so if you are a bigger guy it will typically take longer for it to pass then a skinnier man.But to answer your question, lets see is been just over two weeks, I would say that your fine if you are an average size man but to be on the safe side you can go to a headshop (a hippie store that sells pipes and bongs and stuff like that) and buy a cleansing system they start at about 50 bucks

If you know that they will not be testing for your creatine level (water weight in the body) then just drink as much water as physically possible before your test (ADD SOME VINIGAR IN THE WATER), just make sure to pee once before going to the lab for your test, that way you should pee straight water, pickle juice works really well also

it depends how much and how often you smoke. If you do it once in a while like once every two weeks, its gone in 4 to 5 days. If you smoke every day it will stay in for @ least 30 days if not a little longer. To help this you can consume alot of coffee or beer to help speed up the withdrawl process. coffee and beer are whats known as diuretics(i wont get into all that-you can do a google for it). Last but not least, if you are only getting a urine test, its only good for what you've done a week or so prior to the test. If you get hair tested, forget about keeping your job, but thats usually for more exclusive jobs because they cost alot more than urine tests. Hope this helps.

It depends on your metabolism, I would exercise alot and drink alot of water. The more fat you have the longer it will stay in your system. You can also get cleaners that you drink right before the test. But if you were looking for a job, then why did you smoke weed? I never understood that. Good luck on your job and quit doing drugs they are bad for you and illegal.

I don't know the full medical answer to this. However, I'm told it gets into your hair... as when your hair grows it's inside the hairs.

Thus, if you smoked today and you didn't cut your hair for a month.. but didn't smoke for a month either... on a hair test they'd find it!

Something to note:
Since your test will probably not be a hair test. There are "Cleansers" that you can find a health food stores that will help flush it out of your system. I can't remember which one, but a buddy of mine used a cleanser the day after he smoked and the day before he took his test and he passed.

I wish I could remember which one it was.

Five hits is not a lot if it is a piss test then drink vinegar water or just a glass of vinegar. When my sister went to rehab she smoked everyday they tested here once every two weeks and after 93 days she was still dirty it took 134 days till she was clean but she does not drink water only soda and tea.. So it depends on your water intake if your pee is clear then your system is clear. good luck and don't do it again.

not sure exactly however, i do know you can purchase a bevarage that will help get this out of your system. it sells for about $40.00. and i heard it works but you need to drink it before 24 hours prior to the testing day. (ask at any tattoo or piece stores).

THC stores in the bodies fat cells. How much is stored depends on how much fat you have...and how much you smoke.

If you do some exercise and drink plenty of water you may be okay in a week. You only took 5 hits.

Just to be safe try some cleansing tea...I've seen that stuff work good.

If you're a frequent smoker I'd say a week if you're not, maybe as long as 3 weeks. Also if you're fat the THC (which is what they test for) stays in your body a lot longer. Anorexics can be clean in under a day because they have no fat cells in which to store THC. Hope this helps you.
